This novella compliments Gibson’s Legacy and Trusting Gibson (Last Score Series).
They say the past always catches up with you… For a guy like Rock God, Gibson Barclay, it wasn’t totally unexpected.
Everyone always knew living down the kind of legacy he’d created for himself was never going to be easy. But just when he thought there were no more skeletons to find, his wayward past raises its ugly head and sets his mind reeling.
Historically, nothing and no one had ever fazed this hotter than Hell rock star, but that was back in the days when he only had himself to consider.
Never one to shirk his responsibilities, Gibson takes the shocking news in his stride, but faces hurting the one person he loves above all else. When he shares his secret, can the love of his life cope with the inevitable changes to their daily lives and how can he balance his new responsibilities while managing to maintain the hard earned trust of his woman? .

This story contains sexually explicit material, mature subject matter, and is intended for individuals over the age of eighteen.
This novella compliments the Last Score Series. That said I am yet to finish the Last Score series, but that didn’t cause me any issues when reading Gibson’s Melody.
Gibson & Chloe! Wow! Seriously, what a pair. These two work so well together. They truly do even each other out and keep each other grounded.
I felt for Chloe so much throughout this whole book. She tries so hard to push her own feelings aside and to be supportive to Gibson and considerate to his feelings. Gibson too is very aware of Chloe’s feelings and he does his best to show Chloe that his feelings for her are still as strong as ever. He tries to ensure that she knows how he feels throughout everything that they are dealing with.
Piper is welcomed into their family and under their very protective care and she realises that life can be so much better than what she has experienced so far. She seems to fit in really well with these two and slowly starts to show signs of coming out her own protective shell. Chloe and Gibson help Piper deal with both her grief and adapting to her new life.
Once again KL Shandwick has delivered an exceptional piece of fiction, that enables the reader to escape from their own reality and become fully immersed in Gibson, Chloe and Piper’s world. I was sucked deeply into the world that KL Shandwick has created and I was help there until the last page.
KL Shandwick’s writing style is as good as ever, feeding you the details that you need to feel a part of the tale she is weaving and to keep you there wanting more, needing to know everything.
The characters that KL Shandwick has created are realistic, they are not perfect. Each has their own flaws and each one’s personality shows through in the way the talk and behave. It would be very easy to picture these 3 as a real everyday family, you know the ones, that rich family at the edge of the village in the acres upon acres of land 🙂 That’s my thought anyway.
~About The Author~
Writing came relatively later in life for K.L. Shandwick after a challenge by a friend led to The Everything Trilogy. She loves creating new characters and story lines. Her characters have flaws and she hopes this helps the connection between them and her readers. K.L. enjoys the journeys they take her on during the creation of her stories, and each character has his or her own voice. She doesn’t use prepared outlines for her stories preferring the characters to take their own direction as the story progresses. These days K.L. lives in the Yorkshire countryside and writes full-time.
