~~My Review~~

I’ve been really lucky, and I’ve met Rob. He was a signing in Peterborough last October, this was the first time I had ever heard about him. He’s a lovely bloke, my only regret was not purchasing a signed copy of his books, maybe next time though.

This is the first of Rob’s books that I’ve read, and it will not be the last one!

Bermuda Jones is different he has the ‘knack’; the ability to see what other people can’t. It is because of this that Bermuda works for a government agency that is so secret almost no one knows it exists. When people start going missing Bermuda and his partner Argyle are sent to investigate the disappearances and put them to put an end to them. Will they be able to get one step ahead and stop the next one from happening?

This book had me utterly hooked from the start. Doorways to me is a mixture of supernatural/ fantasy and crime thriller with some mystery and I think it works really well. I have loved how Doorways brings together the fantasy/supernatural world as well as the real world. The book is set in the real world but with creatures from the ‘otherside’ in it too. Doorways explains these ‘others’ as creatures from the ‘otherside’ that exist in the real world but can’t be seen by everyone. The ‘neithers’ are creatures from the ‘otherside’ who work and fight for the real world like Argyle and Vincent.

Even though the ‘others’ and the ‘otherside’ are thought to be fantasy and made up, I found myself more than once thinking what if they are real? what if they do exist but we just can’t see them? Rob has given these ‘other’ characters a life which is very believable, Bermuda is portrayed in a very realistic way, I really do feel for the guy, because of his gift (or curse as he calls it) he’s been through and lost so much, and that is something he’s still struggling to deal/cope with. I love how this guy despite hating that he has the ‘knack’ still continues to fight and tries save everyone, all whilst flaunting his lack of respect for his superiors at the BTCO.

I found Rob’s writing to be very informative and descriptive, which makes envisioning the story really easy, it’s almost like watching a movie in your own mind! It’s clear that Rob has invested a lot of energy, time, love and care into writing Doorways.

Doorways is packed full of mystery action and humour too; the humour does break-up the more serious tense moments incredibly well.

I feel that Doorways is a great start to the Bermuda Case Files Series and I’m itching to see just what happens next.

On to The Absent Man!

Yeah, I have that ready and waiting on my Kindle 🙂

The Absent Man; Bermuda Jones Case Files #2 by Robert Enright

Six months after stopping the terrifying Barnaby atop Big Ben, Bermuda finds himself on the hunt for a killer in a city he doesn’t know with a police force that doesn’t want him. With no links between the victims and the death toll rising, Bermuda has to face a sceptical detective, a seemingly distracted Argyle and an unknown horror that stalks from the shadows.

All in the name of answering one question…

Who is The Absent Man?

~~My Review~~

It’s been 6 months since Bermuda and Argyle saved the world from Barnaby. Now Bermuda & Argyle are being sent to Glasgow to the track another killer. This one is ripping the heart clean out of its victims.

As Bermuda and Argyle hunt down this murderer they seem to be unaware of the horror that lurks in the shadows, stalking them too! Can Bermuda and Argyle stop this murderer, or will they become the hunted?

Once again, I was thoroughly hooked from the very beginning. What’s not to love about this book. It is jampacked from cover to cover with action, creatures from another world, emotion and twists.

Bermuda had just started trying to repair some parts of his personal life when he was sent to Glasgow, this sets back his progress when he misses his daughter’s birthday and fails to phone her first thing due to being unconscious.

Bermuda is an amazing character he constantly puts the needs of the BTCO and the world before himself and his personal life. As well as having to hunt for killer Bermuda must deal with the Glaswegian police and the wrath of the BTCO seniors and his own guilt and emotions.

Rob has such an amazing way with his words. He has created another world right alongside his real world, both worlds are incredibly realistic and believable. The characters are fitting and have a real ability to get under your skin, they had begun to feel like friends in the first book and now that friendship is reaffirmed.

The writing style of Rob is clear and has a seamless flow to it. He can swap from action scenes to more personal scenes/moments with ease. Each scene leads effortlessly to the next. Rob packs so much detail into his writing, the time emotion and energy that Rob has put into his writing is clear to see.

I have loved every page in The Absent Man and I’m really looking forward to seeing what Robert has in store for Bermuda and Argyle in book 3!

Rob, is it done yet? *Stares hopefully at Rob*

~~My Review~~

My Love Forever is Alex & Julia’s story. Alex is a centuries-old vampire, Julia is the human daughter of one of Alex’s employees. Alex first saw Julia when she was 14 years old. He hadn’t realised how much she had grown & changed until seeing her at the Christmas party with her father, where she was 18 years old & about to head off to university. Alex has one dance with Julia then leaves the party due to the feelings that dancing with her caused & knowing that she is too young to bring into his world.

Julia leaves for university & announces a year later that she is engaged. 14 years pass & Alex has been sneakily watching from time to time. Then something happens & Julia’s world is turned upside down. Her father turns to the one person he knows can help her… Alex.

Now that their paths have crossed again will Julia finally learn the truth about Alex & his family? Will she accept it?

This is Helen’s debut novel & I think that it’s a really good start. I loved that it is set in the UK in places that I know of. My Love Forever has set the scene for this series well. It has enough background information that you don’t become lost or confused & you could feel as though you know the area it’s set in even if you don’t.

The characters are easy to relate to, their emotions are so real & convincing. Alex & Julia are the main two but there’s also Nik, Josh, Gina & Freya to name just a few. They all play key parts & add more to the story. Each chapter clearly states whose POV we are reading as it does change throughout, but it’s never confusing.

The book has some delicate issues as a result of certain events & I believe that Helen handles these with the appropriate level of care & sensitivity, only mentioning them in as much detail as is necessary. Helen writing style works well too. She describes things clearly & in such a way that it is easy to picture where the characters are as well as what they are doing. The story has a smooth even pace that pulls you in & takes you along for the ride.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading book 1 of this series & I can not wait to continue with book 2 to see where Helen goes next. I’m just lucky that I already have books 2 & 3 to continue with. Overall I think this is a promising start to both the series & this author’s writing career. If you like paranormal romance & you haven’t yet read My Love Forever I’d suggest grabbing a copy & meeting Alex & Julia for yourself. You never know you to might find yourself hooked on these vamps too! 🙂

~~My Review~~

This is the second book in the Night Movers Series by Helen Bright & as much as I’ve seen reviews saying this can be read as a standalone personally l disagree. I think you need to have read book 1 first because certain events in this book continue from book 1 as do the characters.

The focus this time is predominately on Keeley & Josh, although Freya & Daniel sneak in later in the book. Keeley has worked for Night Movers for a while but for the past 5 months, she has been Gregor’s PA. Keeley knows about the owner’s of Night Movers being vampires as is Gregor, it doesn’t bother her, she enjoys her work & see’s them as her friends too.

Josh had taken Keeley & her daughter back home to her fathers’ house, only to find her father drunk. With a little help from Josh, Keeley’s dad agrees to get help from the doctor. Josh, Keeley & Daisy head back to Josh’s place.

Over the course of time things between Josh & Keeley change. Can they both accept the changes & the secrets that are uncovered?

Again I found Blood & Secrets to be captivating. I was pulled headfirst back into the world of The Night Movers Vampires, I was there alongside each & every one of them vampire or human. It was good to see that Keeley, Daisy & Josh were eventually getting some happiness & good luck.

Helen has written another compelling story that will wrap its fingers around your heart & mind. The character’s that we already know (from book 1) are even more loveable; they show more progression as they demonstrate different aspects of their individual personalities & more emotion. The new character’s that we are introduced to soon earn their place in your heart along with everyone else & they integrate into the group without too many issues but in a way that is believable.

The writing has continued to be descriptive & informative but in such a way that you can’t help but keep reading to find out more. The pace is good & flows naturally, it captures your attention & holds it throughout. I found it easy to follow & was surprised by the twists that Helen has included.

To me, this was a great addition to a series that has started with such promise. I for one am really looking forward to reading book 3.

Gregor’s Reason; The Night Movers #3

Will Gregor be able to convince Chloe that bonding with him is exactly what she needs?

Can Chloe forgive Gregor and take a chance on the vampire who has stolen her heart?

~~My Review~~

That’s book 3 done already. I can’t believe how fast I’m reading these. I think I need to slow down else I’m going to run out of these vampires & their stories.

This one is a little more self-explanatory, as in who our main character is. Yep, you guessed it, it’s Gregor; the mighty Russian vampire. We already know quite a bit about Gregor from the previous book but now the focus is firmly on him. I have to admit I kinda expected Gregor to end up with Freya, but no I was wrong.

As we expect the usual characters are present as & when needed, again we are also introduced to new ones too; for instance Chloe. Chloe has endured an unpleasant past & now she has drawn a line under it & is moving on with her life. And then she meets the mysterious Gregor.

These two are an unlikely pair. Want to know if they work? Guess you’ll need to grab yourself a copy to find out.

In true Helen fashion, we are launched back into this world of vampires & humans. Boundaries & friendships will be pushed & tested maybe to their limits.

Gregor is a strong character, quite dominating. He’s not afraid to seek what he wants or to say what he wants. Chloe, on the other hand, seems fairly reserved & shy. But she’s also curious about Gregor & her feelings. Through their actions, the characters show that they have real feelings, thoughts & emotions. That makes them even more endearing to the reader, you can’t help but allow them into your heart.

The events that take place & the issues the characters face are so realistic, it is easy to see that everyday people would deal with these same issues (not vampirism so much), it is because of this that these characters feel so realistic.

Helen has yet again demonstrated that she is capable of giving enough details to keep your interest but that create a trail of crumbs that you have to follow, that makes you turn the page to find out more. I know after I started Gregor’s Reason I didn’t want to stop. The pace & flow fit the overall story well. The reader’s interest is caught at the start & held until the end.

Gregor’s Reason is full of love, lust, passion, romance & also has a good amount of humour in it too. There are some real laugh out loud moments, which were very fitting.

For me, this was another fantastic addition to this series & I’m thoroughly looking forward to book 4.

Sergei’s Angel; The Night Movers #4

~~Synopsis~~

Holly Fraser has known nothing but loss in her short life and now finds herself the lone carer of her younger brother. With financial difficulties piling high she accepts a job from the mysterious, yet devastatingly attractive, Sergei Petrov.

Sergei is a born immortal vampire who is often misunderstood, mostly due to his happy-go-lucky nature and ability to create chaos from good intentions.

Recent events have left him disheartened, yet a chance meeting at a funeral (of all places) fills Sergei with hope that a happy future may await him after all.

But withholding the truth rarely ends well and a shock revelation could destroy everything.

Does Holly have the resilience she needs to be Sergei’s Angel? Or are neither destined to find their Heaven?

~~Book Links~~

Goodreads | getBook.at/Sergei

~~My Review~~

Book 4 in this series is all about Sergei. Sergei has been a part of this series from the very beginning he’s always been in the background, but now we finally meet the real Sergei. We join him in his chance of love & happiness, we can now get to understand just what makes him tick.

Sergei is at a funeral of an ex-Night Movers employee when the granddaughter of the deceased catches his eye; her name Holly. Holly lives with her younger brother Matty. Their gran was the one looking after them, but now she’s gone it falls to Holly. Holly knows that this won’t be easy especially as she has no job, her gran’s insurance has covered the funeral but other than that they are running out of money & the heating is broken & until Holly finds a job she cannot afford to get it fixed.

After the funeral there is a funeral tea at the local community hall, this is where Sergei witnesses how bad things must be for Holly. Sergei is stood with Maggie; a Night Movers employee; when Holly comes over & asks Maggie if Night Movers have any daytime job vacancies when Maggie says no Sergei has an idea. He offers Holly a position as his PA, she gladly accepts. After a brief discussion, they arrange to meet again & Holly hugs Sergei, now Sergei shows for sure that he wants Holly.

Will Sergei and Holly be more than colleagues? What will Holly think when she learns that Sergei is a born immortal?

Sergei is an amazing character, he has been since we first met him. He is loyal, loving, reliable & funny. Once he meets Holly he shows that he also has a softer side which is why he fears telling Holly that he is a born immortal. After seeing Sergei in the first 3 books this nervousness & uncertainty seemed a little uncharacteristic for him but it was a needed development in his personality, it also made him more real too.

Holly is a strong young woman, she’s not afraid to do what is needed in order to try & provide for both Matty & herself, although Matty seems to come first to her. At first, she seems unsure about Sergei’s actions & affections but as time goes by they grow closer, she knows that Matty enjoys being around Sergei & that Sergei adores Matty.

The plot moves at a great pace, never becoming boring. The descriptions given are written well & really help to draw you further into this world of humans & immortals, making you feel every bit a part the scenes & events. The characters interact well together & they display many levels of realism, their personalities have gotten stronger & become clearer throughout. Each of them has a place in my heart & they will be missed.

I have loved reading every page of Sergei’s Angel, it has been a joy to have been a part of Sergei’s world, to have felt & witnessed all of his nervousness, happiness & humour in his story. For me, this book deserves a rating of

That’s it I’ve finally come to the end of this fantastic series. *stares at Helen* I am looking forward to seeing what Helen does next & I’ll be (im)patiently waiting & stalking her! 😉

If you enjoy reading romance books I’d definitely recommend giving The Night Movers Series a read.

Review: In the Light of Madness by Hemmie Martin

This review has been a long time coming. I was originally going to publish this when I was blogging on Relaxed Reads but I never got around to it. Now I have, as I intend to spend the bulk of this year reading the signed paperbacks that I have collected and posting the long overdue reviews of those. That’s enough waffle about my reading target for the year and onto my review of Hemmie’s book:

~~Synopsis~~

A murdered boy in a Cambridgeshire graveyard sets in motion an investigation into the local church and school, with suspicions of a cult murmured throughout the community. With their first case, DI Eva Wednesday and DS Jacob Lennox explore the various levels of desperation and malice that can stem from an unhappy or dissatisfied life, where no one takes responsibility for their actions. They quickly find that everyone harbours a secret which, left uncontrolled, can bring forth devastating self-destruction.

~~My Review~~

I am lucky enough to have met Hemmie twice now, both times at signings in Peterborough. So I read In the Light of Madness as a signed paperback! This is the second of Hemmie’s books that I’ve read. And I have loved this one as much as the last one.

In the Light of Madness is set in a close-knit village, where a boy is found dead in the graveyard. As in most villages, it sets the villagers talking. They have their own ideas on what caused the death and the events that follow, they range from speculation of a cult to possible people in the village who might have done it. DI Wednesday and DS Lennox are called in to investigate the death and to find out who or what is behind it.

The characters in this book are fantastic, they are extremely well developed and the slightly more personal details that the author has included helps to bring each one of them to life. The characters all interact together well and are incredibly realistic and believable. The characters all have private lives of their own as well as the main ones that we read about.

Hemmie Martin has woven a web of intricate details, lies and deceit that are unwound with every page that is read. The scenes are described in such a way that you can see what is happening in your mind’s eye and that also makes you feel a part of the story. You feel for the characters and become encompassed in their world until the very end.

I loved this story from the very beginning. The more I read and the more details I found out surrounding each incident the more I found I was trying to guess what was happening and who was doing what. I never got it right, I was kept guessing right up until the point that Hemmie wanted us to work it out.

Overall In the Light of Madness was an utter joy to read. If you like crime, thrillers, mystery or contemporary books then I’d highly recommend checking out In the Light of Madness.

Review: Attic of The Mind by Hemmie Martin

~~Synopsis~~

The time is right for Lilith Fields to seek revenge. Twenty-five years have passed since the sadistic abuser tortured the patients of the psychiatric ward, and now Lily has decided he must meet his final judgment.

As her plan unfolds she discovers she is not the only one with a dark secret. Now, only time will tell if Lily’s demons will be vanquished, and just how many people are really involved.

~~My Review~~

Due to life being an absolute bitch and getting in the way, it has taken me far longer than I would have like to get round to reading Attic Of The Mind, it’s also taken me a lot longer than usual to write this review. It’s a good job I make notes to refer back to as I’m reading 🙂

At the beginning of Attic Of The Mind we are in a psychiatric ward, not just any psychiatric ward it’s a ward run by a cruel and sadistic nurse Walker. Walker is abusing his patients on a regular basis. A new young Doctor; Nathan; joins the ward and he is understandably scared of Walker but Nathan discovers the abuse but decides to do nothing.

However, Nathan has never gotten over the guilt that ignoring the abuse has caused him. Ever since leaving Poplar Ward Nathan has been taunted by visions of a pair of eyes, the years of one of Walker’s victims. And now there are other things appearing leaving reminders of his time at Poplar.

The question is who is leaving him these reminders? Is it the cruel, sadistic Nurse Walker or is it of the cruelly treated patients?

This is the first of Hemmie’s books that I’ve read and it most definitely won’t be the last.

Hemmie’s writing style was fantastic. I was thoroughly engrossed from the beginning, I found I didn’t want to put this book down and tried not to unless it was a necessity.

The storyline was extremely well thought out. To cover a difficult topic like abuse can be hard but it doesn’t seem like it for Hemmie. Hemmie handled the abuse issue with a great level of sensitivity, only the essential details were discussed leaving the rest for the reader’s mind to piece together without having to read all the gruesome details. For me this approach worked fantastically well, it made things seem more disturbing.

The characters are great, I loved and hated them! The fact that we met Walker, Lilith (Lily) and Nathan 25 years ago at the start before catching up with them later means there is a depth to them. It allows us to see how they may or may not have changed in that time.

Hemmie also gives us a glimpse into Walker’s childhood and his private life now which helps with understanding why he’s the way he is. It doesn’t by any stretch justify his behaviour but certainly clarifies things.

This is a book filled with twistedness, cruelty and suspense. Just when you think you know where things are heading they take an unexpected turn and lead you on another path. Attic Of The Mind keeps feeding you breadcrumb after breadcrumb so that you keep following the trail and thinking about what has happened or what may happen.

Overall this is a fantastic 5* read. If you enjoy a good psychological thriller I can not recommend this book enough. Great Job Hemmie!! 🙂

This is a story of an ordinary woman who falls in love with an extraordinary man and has to discover whether she is strong enough to forgive him his past.

Contemporary Romance for readers over 18 – this is the first book in the Fallen Angel series, a Mafia Romance containing graphic scenes of sex.

So what is the Fallen Angel series…

This is a mafia ‘romance’, with the emphasis on the romance. The four books are narrated by Brooke, a British woman who travels to Washington, DC, and falls in love. This is her story, her journey into a world she has only ever seen in a movie. As is traditional, Brooke will be shielded from any ‘mafia’ activity, she won’t know what’s going on, what she finds out will be a surprise. Please don’t go into this book expecting a gun-slinging mafia moll from the 1950’s 🙂 This is a modern take on what the mafia are now, in the twenty-first century. There is a reason for the title, you’ll discover this throughout the books. There are four books in this story so, no, you won’t know it all in book one.

I wanted to explore what it would be like for me, or you, to fall into a world we have no knowledge of. It’s my belief that perhaps, as British women, we wouldn’t take it seriously, perhaps we’d find it exciting. Our major reference into that world is a movie made a lot of years ago 🙂

I hope you enjoy the read.

This book is not paranormal, has nothing to do with angels, fallen or otherwise.

~~My Review~~

I’ve heard so many good things about The Fallen Angel Series by Tracie Podger, I was glad to have finally gotten around to starting this series.

Brooke has gone to America to visit her best friend Sam. She’s just come out of a long-term relationship and isn’t looking for another man, she just wants to spend some quality time with her best friend.

She arrives in America and heads to Sam’s work to wait for him to finish. She heads into the office kitchen to make a coffee, whilst she’s waiting when she suddenly has the feeling she’s being watched.  Brooke soon finds out that she just encountered Robert Stone; Sam’s elusive boss. The events that follow successfully turn Brooke’s life upside down. There is more to Robert than meets the eye.

Brooke comes across as a nice down to earth kind of girl. She works hard and doesn’t want to let people down, she also knows that something is missing. She loves Sam and his partner Scott, she feels guilty when circumstances prevent her from spending as much time with them as she’d originally wanted to.

Robert is a hard man to work out. He has so many secrets and has built some seriously high protective walls around him and his family. He likes to be in control. When Brooke comes into his world his control is tested. Robert is also very protective of those he cares about.

These two make a good team and balance each other out. The other characters are also really good and they complete the overall group dynamic well. I loved how none of the characters were flat or one-dimensional, they all have they’re own layers and secrets to be discovered.

The plot is good, it has a good steady pace, it’s full of twists and unexpected turns. Tracie has created a wonderfully realistic world for these fantastic characters. She feeds you all the pieces of an intricately woven web of secrets, and leaves you wanting more!

I’m glad I’ve finally popped my Fallen Angel cherry and I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

Great starting point Tracie!

~~My Review~~

I’ve been wanting to read this book; well trilogy, for so long! Finally, I have gotten around to starting them. I’ve got books 1 & 2 as signed paperbacks and that’s what I’ve read. I’m just waiting to get my hands on a signed copy of book #3.

The question I have is where do I start this review…

Darion… Swoon! OK, OK not the right place to start 😉

His Confession throws us into Gabi & Darion’s lives. Gabi meets Darion after finding a packet of matches from a gentleman’s club in her fiance, Lawrence’s, pocket. Gabi goes to the club to try and find some answers as Lawrence’s behaviour has been a little suspicious of late.

Once at the club Gabi finds more than she bargained for. The club doesn’t bring Lawrence’s fidelity into question so much as her own!

So enough about the story; I wouldn’t want to give too much away. Let’s discuss the characters!

Gabi is in a relationship with Lawrence, in fact, they are engaged. But Lawrence has been displaying some behaviours that could suggest he’s not being faithful, because of that Gabi is feeling like she’s trapped & in a one-way relationship. When she finds the matches she suspects the worst & knows confronting Lawrence he’d probably deny anything so she heads to the club.

Gabi strikes me as smart & sexy but she’s also bored I think deep down she knows that she’s with Lawrence for the wrong reasons.

Darion; he’s the owner of the gentlemen’s club that Gabi finds herself in. Darion is all kinds of hot but he has a darker side to him. After meeting Gabi, Darion warns her to stay away as he’s no good for her (Yeah like that’d work!!) But Gabi can’t help herself.

Darion has issues himself & when he reveals just why he won’t let a woman near his heart its fully understandable. The question is will Gabi be the one to chip those walls away brick by brick or will Darion make her run the other way.

These two characters have some serious chemistry together. They also have a very realistic relationship on a non-sexual level too; their conversations flow & they interact incredibly well.

Their journey is by no means easy & I’m sure that it won’t ever be easy. The issues they face & tackle are issues that most of us will face at home at some point in our own lives.

I think that His Confession is a great starting point for this series & I can’t wait to continue reading Her Confession to see what happens next.

His Confession captured my attention from the very beginning & kept me hooked until the very end. It’s clear to see that S. Valentine has conducted some very in-depth research into certain aspects of this book as they are so realistic. You can also feel the emotion that both S. Valentine has put into her writing & her characters.

For me, this is a great start to what promises to be an intriguing and great trilogy. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to read book #2; Her Confession! 🙂

Her Confession; The Black Door Trilogy Book #2.

~~Synopsis~~

Gabi is adapting to Darion’s daring world. Trying to break down his defenses, and help him move on from his damaged past, she hopes he can offer her the love and security she desperately requires.

With his outrageous ex-wife in the picture, a constant threat, Gabi finds herself agreeing to Darion’s open-minded adventurous fantasies. The bond they share appears stronger than ever.

Until her confession changes everything.

Is Darion pushing Gabi to her limits, and further away from him?

Or is Gabi in too deep to give Darion up, regardless of her identity that he’s slowly stripping away?

A world of temptation, truths, and ultimate tests.

~~My Review~~

After reading His Confession I was so glad that I had Her Confession to continue with.

Gabi & Darion’s relationship is still new & Gabi is still having some issues accepting a part of Darion’s lifestyle that she had never before experienced. Darion is still struggling to fully let Gabi in thanks to his past and his ex.

These two work well together as neither one is perfect. They both have flaws and are both dealing with issues and experiencing insecurities over different things within their own and each others lives. That aside they have a chemistry that is off the charts!

The characters have continued to develop and grow. The introduction of Darion’s ex adds another level to the relationship dynamic and causes both Darion and Gabi to think and react differently.

I think that Gabi’s reaction to Eva is fairly true to how a lot of females would react to their boyfriend’s ex-wife turning up out of the blue. I think some of her insecurities are a little rash and unfounded but I understand that her past experiences or lack of have coloured her thoughts and feelings.

Due to the dual POV’s we get to see how Darion feels about the appearance of his ex-wife and how he feels towards Gabi. I just wish the two of them could open up and explain how they truly feel, but this is easier said than done.

Her Confession is more angsty that His Confession, but has so much emotion contained within its pages. The more of the book I read the more hooked I became, it was as if I was right there alongside both Darion and Gabi, feeling everything with them. It wasn’t all happy either, there were times when I wanted to slap the pair of them or bang their heads together!

Sophia’s writing is incredibly easy to fall into and follow, it grabs a hold of your attention and pulls you further and further into the story, holding you engrossed until the end and then leaves you needing to know more. The way the characters are described and portrayed makes them come to life before your very eyes, you can’t help but become invested in each of them, rooting for them or wishing they’d crawl back under the rock they crawled out from!

I felt like this was a great way to continue this trilogy. I’m only gutted that I don’t yet have a signed paperback of Their Confession to continue with straight away. (Don’t worry I will be messaging Sophia soon to rectify this)!

I honestly think that if you like a romance with some steamy scenes, then this would be right up your street. But I’d most definitely recommend having read His Confession first, if not having all 3 books lined up ready to go continuously!

I’m off to message Sophia for a signed copy of Their Confession now 😉

~~About Melody~~

Growing up, Melody Winter showed a natural ability in art, a head for maths, and a tendency to write far too long English essays. Difficult to place in the world when she graduated, she pursued a career in teaching, but eventually ended up working in finance. Melody is convinced that the methodical time she spends working with numbers fuels her desire to drift into dream worlds and write about the illusory characters in her head.
Melody lives in North Yorkshire, England, with her husband and two teenage sons. When not dealing with football, rugby, and a whole plethora of ‘boy’ activities, she will be found scribbling notes for her stories, or listening to 80’s music on her iPod.

Melody has a tendency to fall head-over-heels in love with her main characters, even when they frustrate her and refuse to act the way she wants them to. She is a romance writer at heart and loves reading and writing about anything mythological or magical, as well as exploring the gritty side of love affairs and the complexities of being in love.

SACHAEL DREAMS was her debut novel, (REUTS Publications, USA) and the first in the New Adult Romantic Fantasy series—the ‘Mine Series’. The second book in the series, SACHAEL DESIRES’, was released in November 2015, and the third book in the series, SACHAEL DISCOVERY, is due to be released on the 27th February 2018. SACHAEL DESTINY is due to be released in 2019.

Melody has also self-published three books, INIQUITY, the first book in a Dark New Adult Romantic Fantasy series— ‘The Ascent’. (The second book in the series, ADVERSITY, is due for release 2018.) STARSHINE, and PROMISE, both contemporary romance, were released last year.
